I personally would not categorize this book as an enemies to lovers romance. They start getting along pretty early on and to be honest, I loved that! It was such a pleasant surprise! Just don’t go into this book expecting an intense enemies to lovers romance. But aside from a bad first impression, Brendan and Piper actually mend fences like mature adults early in the story. One thing I will note: I went into this book expecting an enemies to lovers romance. I love how Piper was not a snob despite her penchant for all things luxurious. I love how Brendan delved deep and saw Piper for who she really is. Piper and Brendan may be complete opposites, but their personalities and their sizzling chemistry make them perfect for each other.

I really enjoyed her character arc it complemented Brendan’s character arc perfectly. I was unsure if I would like her at first, but there are layers to this socialite party girl whose entire life supposedly revolves around posting the perfect photos on Instagram. And he loves spoiling her! This man is unreal. He doesn’t resist falling in love with Piper. Brendan even apologizes after realizing how unfair he was in his initial judgement of Piper. Piper considers Brendan’s hugs to be her very own personal recharging station. He’s very good with his hands 😏 Competence kink, anyone? He gives Piper the best courting gift ever.
